Last time, we explored what participants in the 2019 Land O’Lakes Global Food Challenge Emerging Leaders Program learned and how they planned to put those learnings into practice. Here, the Emerging Leaders talk about what made the biggest impressions on them during their travels.
Emma Nelson, from Hancock, Minnesota, is studying animal science and agricultural communication and marketing at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Growing up as the seventh generation on her family’s crop farm and through showing livestock in 4-H, her love for agriculture and food production was sparked at a young age. Emma has a true appreciation for accessible fresh and nutritious food. By working with the Global Food Challenge, she is excited to develop ideas to create and provide food security for people now and for generations to come.
